As I move deeper into my Engineering degree here in Stuttgart, the way I manage christmas3dp is evolving. While I don’t have the same “Abitur-era” schedule I once did, my mission remains the same: lowering the cost of entry for high-end 3D printing.
To balance my studies with providing you the best hardware, I am introducing a streamlined four-tier product system. This allows me to keep prices low and quality high without overpromising on logistics.
Regular Stock (essential products)
These products will be available for purchase on-demand and shipping will take place every Saturday of the week. Orders placed from Sunday to Thursday will always have to wait until the next Saturday to be shipped. If things are really urgent, for a fee, we will get things shipped faster if you need them (0-2 days until sendout) with express shipping methods if requested. Sometimes, things just can’t wait and we know that.
Pre-Orders
If you are looking for the absolute best price on high-end materials, our pre-order products are precisely for you – we open specific ordering windows, typically lasting one month, to aggregate demand from the community. Once the window closes, we place a bulk order with our suppliers to import exactly what is needed. By eliminating the overhead of unsold inventory, I am able to pass those savings directly to you at prices that are nearly identical to my own costs. Please keep in mind that while these offer significant savings, they do come with lead times you may not find very pleasant – Order these to practice your skill of patience.
Self-Developed Products
Innovation remains at the heart of what we do. Many of the items in our shop are unique products designed right here in our Stuttgart labs. To ensure consistent quality and scalability, these Self-Developed Products are now manufactured by specialized contractors as well as produced in-house. This shift allows us to maintain competitive pricing while focusing on the engineering and design aspects that make our little christmas3dp project unique. Items will follow the Saturday shipping schedule, same as the regular inventory.
Product Requests & Group Buys)
christmas3dp has always been about being right in the heart of the communities. The Product Request system is our way to give back as much as we can. Over the years, we have established deep connections with machine shops, filament makers, and specialist machinists within the 3D printing industry. If you and a group of enthusiasts have a specific product in mind, we can arrange the manufacturing, importing, and distribution for you. We take only a minimal fee for the logistics, effectively making group buys easier and more accessible by leveraging our industry experience.
